Under DVAC, Telligen will continue supporting Medicare contractors and networks executing large-scale improvement work

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently announced that Telligen, in collaboration with The Bizzell Group, will continue providing analytic and administrative support to the agency and its national network of contractors as the Data Validation and Administrative Contractor (DVAC).

Over the course of the five-year contract, Telligen will provide data and analytic expertise to CMS relating to the calculation and reporting of all program national Aims to support Medicare improvement and innovation projects across the country. The Bizzell Group will lead tasks related to project management, data validation and auditing,* event planning, and communications.

“As a long-standing partner to CMS, we are excited for the opportunity to continue supporting national Medicare quality improvement programs and projects,” says Bruce Grotenhuis, Telligen’s vice president of federal health solutions. “The partnership with the Bizzell Group allows us to leverage our analytic expertise to generate informative and actionable insights that CMS and its contractor networks can use to guide decision-making in areas related to cost, quality, and outcomes.”

This opportunity builds on Telligen’s recent work managing national quality improvement tasks as the Quality Innovation Network National Coordinating Center (QIN NCC).

“Our QIN NCC work spanned the entire analytic spectrum — from data collection to measuring an intervention’s effectiveness to calculating cost-savings,” says Kim Irby, Telligen director of federal solutions. “Our analytics combined with Bizzell’s learning, communications, and dissemination expertise will ensure CMS and its contractors receive the support and information they need to drive improvement.”

* To avoid conflict of interest with Telligen’s role as NQIIC prime contractor, tasks related to data auditing and validation will be solely directed and managed by Bizzell.
