WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Telligen is pleased to welcome Neal Cohen as Vice President of State Health Solutions. Cohen will be responsible for managing Telligen’s state Medicaid solutions and brings with him a wealth of expertise in this area of healthcare.

With more than 30 years of experience, many in executive leadership roles, Cohen brings a seasoned and diverse skillset to Telligen. Prior to joining Telligen, he worked for Quartet Health as a Senior Client Executive and was directly responsible for client relationships in the public sector along with new market launches. Prior to that, Cohen spent six years with Magellan Health in various roles including Vice President of Clinical Care, Vice President of National Network Operations, and Chief Operations Officer for the Magellan in Louisiana plan. Among his responsibilities was leadership of Magellan’s commercial behavioral health services as well as standing up a privatized delivery model and network for Louisiana Medicaid residents. Cohen also previously worked at Cigna, in various provider relations and clinical operations leadership roles.

As a partner for state Medicaid agencies nationwide, Telligen’s state health solutions help programs meet their goals for population health, improved care delivery and cost-containment. In his role with Telligen, Cohen will oversee all aspects of the company’s state solutions efforts including strategic planning, account management, operations, program development and client relations.

Cohen will be based out of New Orleans, LA while leading teams residing in Telligen’s other office locations nationwide. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Business Administration with a certificate in healthcare administration from the University of Miami. He holds a license in Mental Health Counseling from the State of Florida and a license as a Professional Counselor from the State of Minnesota.
