Telligen team member Lindsey Wisham, Senior Director, Federal Health Solutions, has been selected to serve a 3-year term on the National Quality Forum (NQF) Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) Coordinating Committee. The committee oversees the individual workgroups and provides final approval of recommendations made by the workgroups and advisory groups.

Wisham previously served two consecutive 3-year terms on the MAP Hospital Workgroup.

“I am honored to continue my involvement in the MAP process through participation as an individual subject matter expert on the Coordinating Committee,” said Wisham. “The MAP brings together a diverse and robust stakeholder group to inform and recommend the most impactful measures for use in CMS programs.”

NQF convened a MAP Coordinating Committee in partnership with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide input on the measures under consideration (MUCs) to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

MAP’s work fosters the use of a more uniform set of measures in federal programs and across the public and private sectors. This uniformity helps providers better identify key areas in which to improve quality; reduces wasteful data collection for hospitals, physicians, and nurses; and helps to inform patients and payers about the use of and need for quality measures.
